The Fig Tree Arts centre is a collaboration between local artists, Falsgrave Community Resource Centre, and Scarborough Arts.
The Fig Tree Arts centre is a platform for up and coming and established local artists to flourish.
Artists can display their amazing and thought-provoking art pieces within the centre and also be shared on social media.
Participating artists also have the benefit of using the centre to hold exhibitions of their work, as well as the centre holding exhibitions of various artistic genres including automotive art.
Artistic activities such as workshops, performance art and arts and crafts fairs are also part of the collaboration with the artists, Scarborough Arts, and the centre.
So come along and immerse yourself within the atmospheric aura of this new and exciting arts centre and spark those creative juices within all of us.
Timberkits
Another integral aspect of the Fig Tree Arts Centre is being a registered stockist for Timberkits.
Being a registered seller means we can stock various levels of Timberkits for the public to buy, build and paint. From beginners to experts of any age, we stock a wide range of kits to build from musicians, bi-planes, moving postcard landscapes, caterpillars, and the amazing Shaun the Sheep Timber kits.
We also stock paints and automotive kits just to add a little extra to your kit builds. These are ideal as presents for the hobbyists, crafters, and big kids at heart of any age.
Take a look at the collection of the pictures of the kits we have in stock and the amazing pictures of kits that have previously been built and painted by those who have enjoyed the Timber kits experience.

We have a talented array of local artists displaying various genres of art pieces within the centre. This collection of art pieces is displayed within the main hall and reception area of the building.
Our collection is growing, and we are attracting more enquiries from local and up and coming artists about displaying their pieces within the centre.
The centre has a dedicated Instagram page on which we share artists work which is displayed within the centre.
The centre doesn’t charge for displaying any art pieces, but we do charge a commission of 20% for any pieces sold.
If you are interested in discussing displaying your art pieces within the centre, please contact us and we can arrange a suitable time for you to chat with us.
The centre is also part of the Scarborough Arts Group, and this year collaborated in the Scarborough Fringe Festival in which we had a well-attended performance of Capture the Flag in our Main Hall and an installation of a Work in Progress from Claire Ward, who was displaying her performance pieces for her new and highly anticipated upcoming stop motion animation titled Waiting Optimistically.
Another part of our continued growth is offering workshops by artists who are displaying their work within the centre.
